It’s that time of year when we solicit applications for the college student scholarship offered for dependents of TESA members.
Are your college age students looking for a little extra cash for school? This $500 scholarship can go towards any funds related to students who are accepted and attend an eligible institution, which includes any technical school, trade school, or accredited undergraduate two- or four-year college or university.
To be eligible to apply the student must not have received this award in the past. Their parent or guardian must be a member in good standing with Texas Extension Specialist Association (TESA). A member in good standing is defined as an active member that has paid dues for three of the past five years.
Student applicants will need to complete a narrative summary of their experiences and qualifications in the following areas: leadership, community service and need for scholarship. The Awards Committee are looking for applicants that communicate their academic interests, long-term career goals, achievement recognition academically and socially through other award recognition programs (4-H, FFA, DECA, etc.). Applicants are encouraged to proofread the final application before submitting.
